Frame Waterbed - Also known as a hardside waterbed
- If you have a softside waterbed then look for a low-watt heater. A softside
waterbed is a waterbed that looks like a regular mattress and usually has
a zipper on it. This is a SOLID STATE HEATER - Meaning that there are no moving parts. There is a cheaper version of this heater being sold which is called a B&C Heater (Bulb and Cap) - The bulb and cap heater can give readings that are off by 5 degrees

Easy to use
You can check or change your control unit even in the middle of the night.
When your Calesco heater is creating warmth, a small diode is lit, telling
you the unit is in heating mode. By turning the knob, you can adjust the temperature
setting. The small control unit is integrated with heater making it more watertight,
and there are no extra cords to worry about to try and reach in the dark. ONE
PLUG, AND YOU’RE SNUG!
Control Unit
The smaller design of the solid state control unit allows for passage through
most waterbed frame units with ease. Our unique control unit is designed for
greater comfort and lower energy consumption and is able to resist electrical
spikes up to 1500V.
Temperature Selection
Once you set the thermostat the control unit maintains the water temperature
within +/- 1ºF, in normal room temperature to keep you cozy and comfortable
until you decide to change it.
Anti Flame coating
The extra brush marks you see on an otherwise crystal smooth finish is a high
tech flame barrier for a final layer of safety.
