How secure is MYREST.com?



	The core of our Security program is our state of the art Data Center, which is one of the most secure and protected buildings in the state of Florida. The most important part of keeping our business up and running is a constant supply of power. Our Data Center has 7 industrial generators, with enough fuel to last 3 months without external power from Tampa Electric Co. It is also second in line behind hospitals for fuel and power resources. The building itself is built to withstand a Category 5 Hurricane (the highest level hurricane) at winds gusting up to 200 mph. Key features are 2" thick, bullet-proof glass, to prevent damage from flying debris. It also has steel-reinforced drywall throughout the entire building, as well as concrete imbedded in the roof. Our data, and your personal information, is housed in a raised-floor environment at the very center of the building, with maintenance corridors and administrative offices lining the outside. This means that for anything to reach our servers, it would have to travel through at least 6 steel-reinforced walls to get there. Our Data Center provides the secure, reliable and scalable foundation for our business, so you will never have to worry about our site going down in case of emergency. We use Safe Technology: Our secure server software (SSL) is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. In addition to safe software, we employ the latest hardware routers, servers, and firewall for a robust and super-stable security initiative. 2. We use Fraud Detection: Our software reduces fraudulent transactions with a two-step approach PRIOR to the processing of your credit card. The first layer of fraud detection is a check of your credit card information against a large database of users that have committed fraud. The second, more comprehensive component the fraud detection service is a verification check on the validity of the data that you submitted. Checks are made to see if the telephone number and addressing information you submitted matches information about your account. 3. We restrict access to our servers: We host our own website and intranet from our own servers in our maximum-security Data Center. The Data Center requires badge-access for only a select few of our employees. Most Internet companies pay for hosting, just like you pay for a personal website. Their server is in a rack with every other company renting space there, sharing resources and power, and increasing the risk of data theft or corruption. When their site goes down, or data is lost, they have to make a call to the hosting company to figure out what's going on. We handle everything from your name and address to Processing your Credit Card right from our own equipment, so you never have to fear that your information is being passed from one company who takes the order, to another site who takes the money, to another company who fulfills the order. Multiple Ship Locations: We have many drop ship locations across the country that can pick up fulfillment if our Tampa Headquarters were inoperable. We have a national reach, and partners who work closely with us to get your products to you. 2. Our Office Technology is Centralized: We employ the latest technology to make our daily office activity much more efficient than the average internet company. For example, our advanced call center is able to reroute incoming calls to offsite locations if headquarters is threatened, so you will always have access to us. All of our Administrative Systems (Accounting, Inventory, Purchasing, etc...) are integrated in a paperless workflow, and hosted at our Data Center. If the situation arises, our daily operations can be run from an off site facility with no interruption in service.
