If this is your first internet purchase, here are some things to look out for, whether you buy from us or not.
1. Make sure a physical address and contact information is posted on their
site. This may seem obvious, but you would be surprised how many
online merchants do not provide this information.
2. Verify this contact information with the Better Business
Bureau. Most online companies are listed with the BBB whether
they are a member or not. This is a quick way to verify the
accuracy of their contact information, as well as complaint history and
resolution.
We recommend purchasing from companies who also participate in the
BBB's strict Online Care Program. This voluntary program
guarantees your absolute satisfaction, by making the merchant
accountable to a 3rd party, outside arbitrator, if a resolution cannot
otherwise be achieved.

3. Does the company have a physical retail location, or are they
strictly online? A physical location is usually a sign of
credibility. In the internet age we live in, just having a
website doesn't necessarily mean you are a credible and trustworthy
company.
4. Now that you've verified that it's a real company, make sure the
Products and prices are displayed on the site. Why? If prices are not
displayed, a merchant can easily change the amount, or the terms of
sale, and you have no proof of the original agreement.
5. If you don't like a product, are you protected by a published Return
Policy? The BBB requires that a merchant displays a Return Policy
that is easily accessible to cuustomers. Some companies either do
not have a Return Policy, or they don't display it until after you
enter your Credit Card number. If there is no Return Policy, you
may be stuck with a product you don't like.
6. Make sure the company processes their own Credit Card
transactions. You can tell this by looking at the address bar all
the way throughout the checkout process. If the URL changes, your
information is being passed to a different company to handle the
transaction, even though the page itself will look the same. This
3rd party is separate from the company you think you're buying from,
and is storing your personal Credit Card information. This
passing from one site to another opens up Security Risks, and increases
the chance of Identity Theft and Credit Card Fraud.

7. Make sure the company asks for the Security Code on your credit
card. This is a non-imprintable 3 or 4 digit code usually on the
back of your card, that acts as a unique identifier to that specific
card. It is like providing a driver's license for a retail
purchase. Only the actual cardholder who has possession of the

8. Be sure to receive order confirmation that you can print and keep

accountability? Can you verify a companies claims with anyone
